Quick Verdict: The best example of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s genius in under 30 minutes
For those of you who need a short, sharp blast of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, look no further. This is the ultimate in a series of album releases that are less than 20 minutes long and are arranged by the composer David Paterok. Each piece is under three minutes in length, perfect for those of you who love to flip through Spotify (or another streaming platform) and want to hear short pieces of Classical Music rather than hours of a series of long and time-consuming compositions. In any case, this is a good release for you who lack an attention span but are curious to know the music of Mozart. All songs are arranged by Daniel Paterok.
1. A Little Night Music in G Major, K. 525: I. Allegro begins with some soft yet dramatic piano playing, which is spot on timing-wise and perfectly played. This is a soft yet beautiful listening experience that any fan of Classical Music should take note of. It gets busier, so to speak, as it goes along. A very nice, sweet and beautiful tune at hand that is extremely great to listen to. This is perfect to listen to with headphones at night, just before you sleep. Great music to hear from start to finish. Very melodic.
2. Fantasia in D Minor, K. 397 begins with some rather sadder-sounding minor-key playing, which is beautifully unique in its own way. A really great and dramatic sound is present, with some genuinely sweet and melodic playing. This is moody, yet a neat and short listening experience throughout. The second half of this piece is a bit more lively, but the whole tune is absolutely marvellous. Mozart is brain food for the music masses, and this tune proves that. A fine and fantastic listen throughout, for what this is.
3. Piano Concerto No. 6 in B-Flat Major, K. 238: II. Andante Un Poco Adagio is another solidly emotional piano piece with some more busy playing. This is moving, pretty and melodic listening that needs to be heard in a very sober mood. Nonetheless, this does sound really fantastic. If you need a short, sharp blast of Mozart to the ears via piano, Daniel Paterok is your man to do so. A very pretty and emotional sounding piece of piano artistry.
4. Piano Sonata No. 4 in E-Flat, K. 282: 1. Adagio begins with some more upbeat-sounding piano playing that sounds really sweet and melodic simultaneously. The music at hand is pretty, timely and very, very good to listen to. Another short excerpt of Mozart, played very well and extremely beautifully. This is another piece that will make you smile at its pure beauty. Another fantastic listen from centuries ago, tailored for postmodern ears.
5. Piano Sonata No. 7 in C, K. 309: 1. Allegro Con Spirito is a major key piece that sounds full of more timeless music and a unique emotional appeal to it all. Mozart indeed was a major musical genius who created an enormous amount of articulate and interesting music during his lifetime. A super sweet listening experience is here, undeniably so. The sounds of piano playing are absolutely fantastic to hear. Brilliance is at hand in these pieces of music.
6. Piano Sonata No. 8 in A Minor, K. 310: 2. Andante Cantabile Con Espressione is a very short piece of piano mastery that sounds refreshing in its brilliance. A very lovely and minor key piece that will make you smile upon hearing it, this music is revolutionary in its music and methods. A seriously fantastic listen from beginning to end, although it is very short.
7. Piano Sonata No. 10 in C Major, K. 330: 2. Andante Cantabile sounds iconic from the start. It has some gorgeously beautiful music via piano playing that is sweet and timeless. Indeed, if you want to be moved by Mozart’s music in a very short time, look no further. This sounds iconic and uplifting, in its own way. A simply pretty and undeniably good-sounding piece of music at hand. This is a nice listen and is very emotionally moving overall.
8. Viennese Sonatina No. 1 in C Major: III. Adagio continues the fine performance and playing of this album, just playing some very nice piano compositions perfectly for Classical Music lovers out there. This is another short and beautiful Mozart composition that sounds absolutely awesome to hear. A winner of a listen that never fails. The piano playing, even by itself, is very moving. Superb.
9. Die Zauberflöte, K. 620, Act 1: “Der Vogelfänger bin ich ja” is the final piece on this release. It begins with some sweet and immaculate piano playing that works wonders throughout. This continues on very nicely and sounds absolutely wonderful throughout. Little Mozart is a magical concept that works extremely effectively. A seriously great listen, and one which concludes with a multitude of piano parts.
This release is a great release for those of you who need to hear some piano Mozart pieces that are absolutely solidly good. If there is a slight flaw, which is nitpicking, this could have been perhaps a bit longer in length overall. Not to worry, this is a fantastic short album release that everyone should have either in their playlist or a real copy of. It is a fantastic vision of Mozart, realised for the 21st century. Awesome listening overall.
