The massive world tour of Oasis that was launched fairly quickly after the two Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam Gallagher, buried the hatchet with each other, has sold out globally and been covered as Rock Music’s greatest comeback of 2025. This EP release of different live songs, which is an extension of previous releases, is designed to grab attention and to show fans internationally that Oasis still have it together musically. Which they seemingly do. Many images on social media have arisen showing the band in high spirits, and many images of both Liam and Noel Gallagher hugging each other onstage are present. That is what a real human connection and brotherhood should always reflect. The gigs have also been deemed as successful by critics and fans alike. In any case, this EP was released on 14 August 2025 and is, on paper at least, a good snapshot of this mammoth world tour. Let’s take a listen to this release, and we shall hear if it is any good.
1. Little By Little (Live from London, 2 August 2025) is an Oasis song sung by Noel Gallagher. It begins with some interesting background sounds and crowd cheering. It quickly leads into a fantastic-sounding version of the original song. Noel Gallagher sings beautifully on this song, and the crowd sing along in parts as well. Brilliant. An awesome song, although Noel’s voice, much like Liam’s at this stage, is getting on a bit. All in all, a great version of the original, and this is a solid gold winner of a listen throughout. A fantastic song in the first place, that is awesome and inspiring upon hearing it. One can want to cry with happiness upon listening to this tune. The guitar solo is great throughout as well, and Noel still has it. A fantastic listening experience to remind one of the glory days of Oasis. A solid gold tune to hear and to enjoy. Absolutely fantastic music to listen to. The outro is quite Psychedelic, and it sounds superb and interesting as well. An excellent listen for fans of Oasis. Impressive.
2. Cigarettes & Alcohol (Live from Manchester, 11 July ’25) begins with scorching guitars and leads into the main guitar riff of the song. This sounds fantastic throughout, and Noel Gallagher’s guitar playing is awesome. Liam’s singing, although fairly ordinary, is a major improvement over the very late Oasis days. Still, this is a good listen, but just not a really good listen for fans of the group. Still, it is decent to hear nonetheless. The music builds up and releases into a flow of pure energy. Even so, you’d be best off listening to the albums or seeing some of the group’s early live performances online. This is a bit difficult to get through. It is like a karaoke version of Oasis’s music. The guitar solo towards the end is awesome, though. A really good listen, provided you can look past Liam’s atrocious singing. This still kicks the proverbial though. Liam mocks Manchester United fans at the end of it all.
3. Slide Away (Live from Cardiff, 4 July ’25) is the last song and begins with the crowd chanting for Oasis. It launches into a loud and rather awkward-sounding intro that, quite frankly, isn’t that good. Liam Gallagher’s singing has definitely seen better days on this tune. This is not a pleasant listen, to be fair. You’d be best off having a good listen to the 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe, released in 2024. All the same, one can sense that this is a band whose legendary days are now gone, and this is merely for those fans who idolise the group more than anything. The guitar solo, however, is neat. Noel Gallagher is specifically using a Gibson Les Paul in a black colour with P90s made specifically by Gibson for this tour, which itself is awesome. A great song that doesn’t sound the greatest here. This is rather difficult to get through due to Liam Gallagher’s singing, which is average at best and appalling at worst. The outro is an interesting listen, as it has the two Gallaghers singing in unison, with a twist. This could be a lot better if Liam’s singing were better. The guitar solo at the end, however, is quite sweet to hear. This ends with a ton of crowd cheering.
This is not the Oasis release you really need to hear. Sure, it is a sugar-coated dose of nostalgia, but Liam Gallagher’s singing, quite frankly, ruins this release. This is not overly enjoyable. To be frank, you’d be much better off listening to Definitely Maybe or (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? for a real dose of Oasis. In 2025, Oasis sounds much like a band that has seen better days. It’s good in parts, but not essential listening. So no, this is not really recommended for that reason.
Nostalgia from the 1990s.
