Blutonium Boy is one of the primary creators of the Hardstyle genre. It was a mixture of Hardcore EDM and German-based Gabba Music with Trance Music-based progressions that created a new fusion of music around the dawn of the new millennium. Many artists have followed in the footsteps of Blutonium Boy, creating some interesting tunes in the name of the Hardstyle genre. However, Blutonium Boy’s approach to a more loveable and mainstream sound of Hardstyle, with fewer Trance-styled overtones, makes the music he creates a good listening experience for those who dislike straight-out Trance Music. This is the sixth in a line of compilation releases of classic bangers that people who like popping pills should enjoy. Whether you are high or sober, let’s listen to this compilation and hear if it is any good.

Intro Essential Of Hardstyle, Vol. 6 – Intro EOH 6 features Mc Ruffian. It is a five-second introduction that makes little sense here, but that is fine anyway, given the track length.

Live Your Life – Original Version is a track by Audionator. It begins with regular Hardstyle-styled sonic sounds and sounds great and exciting from the outset. A ton of percussive-based sounds and a male voice sample are here, and this tune launches into a gloriously Hardstyle sort of frenzy. It is hard, hitting and brutal, like a musical punch-in-the-face. All the same, it does sound really great to listen to throughout. Blutonium Boy is a great selector of EDM tunes, period. There is a moody breakdown present towards the midsection of the song, which sounds really awesome and different. Nonetheless, this energetic and moshpit-styled tune sounds legendary from start to finish. A really cool listening experience, this is a winner of a tune on this compilation. The male vocal leads the way, and this tune sounds like a tremendous sugar rush, set to music. As mentioned before, this is purely music to listen to when popping pills, for the most part. Regardless, in any mood, this sounds amazing throughout. A really great and inspiring listening experience. Towards the end, things get somewhat more minimal, before banging beats and loops finalise this track. Definitely worth hearing, and an awesome start to this Hardstyle compilation. It ends very well.

Absence Of Light – Original Version is a track by Existenze and Insidouz feat. Tawr. It begins with mechanical handclaps, and screaming sonic patches and launches into quite a good listening experience. This sounds very different and suspenseful throughout. A female voice sample leads the way before this tune really starts to build up very nicely. A thrilling and fantastic listening experience, this certainly captures one’s attention throughout this monster of a tune. A really interesting and powerful listen, this showcases the EDM genre of Heavy Metal music, well at least the equivalent to it, anyway. There is a breakdown with piano towards the middle of this tune, and this track sounds like a bit of a Psychedelic trip in ways. It does work very well and is enough to get headbanging along to. Nonetheless, this does sound supercharged and amazing for what it is. A really nice and inspiring listen for those of you who dig hard and heavy beats, this does sound marvellous. In the second half, a piano is fairly prominent, as large progressions in a Trance music way as well. A really great listening experience from start to finish. Definitely worth hearing, especially if you dig Hard EDM genres of music or Trance Music as well. A very fun listening experience. It ends with some repetitive loops galore.

I Am – Blutonium Boy & Raw Editors Mix is a Blutonium Boy tune with Raw Editors vs. Audionator. It begins with razor-sharp EDM sounds and pummelling beats, launching into an interesting piece of fairly Progressive Music. Soon enough, a vocal sample kickstarts this tune, and this does sound really cool and great. Some cool lyricism is here, and this is an incredibly catchy and headbanging-inducing listen. Not bad for a fairly unobserved Hardstyle compilation. Some deep vocals towards the middle enter and some spacey Trance Music-styled sounds enter nicely. An incredible and enjoyable piece of music, it sounds really warped and futuristic. If EDM can create international world peace, this music would be a religion for that. In any case, the second half has a great bunch of interesting sounds throughout. A really interesting and refreshing listening experience, one needs to dance upon hearing this compilation. Great to listen to, especially while working out at the gym, this deserves more listening and credit than it gets. A fun tune, if you dig Hard EDM which is more physically motivated than intellectual. It ends just before five minutes in length. Great to hear. Brilliant.

Reverze Bass – Blutonium Boy Reverze Bass Mix is a Blutonium Boy original. It is a six-minute long piece that begins with some cool sounds and sonic editing, launching into a nicely melodic tune with some processed piano sounds. Nonetheless, this is really great and awesome to listen to. Many twists and turns are present in this tune, and the whole thing sounds really top-notch and sweet. Again, this is headbanging musical territory, or mosh pit-loving music. A sensational listen, it stops nearly completely, only to have a moody piano melody enter. This sounds quite sad and dreary for such a piano piece. Some female vocals enter, and this piece gets moving. This is not exactly what we desire to hear at this point. This eventually shifts into a Trance Music-styled piece, and the second half gets kicking after a male vocal sample initiates a musical frenzy. A good listen, the progressions are a bit overly dramatic, but aside from that, this is quite neat and quirky music. The pounding beats emerge in the second half, which sounds quite different here. A mash-up of hard, heavy and percussive electronic textures makes for a surreal and compelling listening experience. Very enjoyable, although lengthy. The outro sounds magnificent, with warped sounds and percussion galore, which is killer.

Eternity – Original Version is a tune by PsytrexDJ. It begins with repetitive and punchy processed percussion sounds, and quickly launches into a really interesting-sounding tune. It sounds really odd because it is. Some ultra-processed sounds are present in this tune, and the whole thing sounds really adventurous and excellent. A super cool tune, this showcases a musical style and territory rarely explored by people who are listening to this music. A really fresh, interesting and different musical listen, Blutonium Boy has a great ear for fresh Hardstyle out there. This progresses into a female vocal-led section that sounds really great and progressively dynamic. A cool listening experience, this sounds futuristic and ethereal simultaneously. There is a sensational build-up in the second half of this tune, which sounds outstanding. Sure, this may easily be seen as throwaway junk EDM, but it has much more staying power than one would expect. The music progresses along very nicely, and it launches into a very memorable section towards the end that demands one to go absolutely nuts listening to this music. A really great listening experience that is just over five minutes in length. The ending is heavily percussive and genuinely great to hear.

Another Level – Blutonium Boy vs. Force Field Mix is a remix of a tune by Forcefield. It begins with some repetitive and punchy sounds, including hi-hats galore. This eventually launches into the track at hand and sounds great. Soon enough, a Daft Punk-styled tune enters and this sounds catchy, but very weird. A really neat and refreshing tune to listen to, this is super cool to listen to. A joyful and wonderful listening experience, this music is perfect to play along with the Doom video game series whilst playing such games. Towards the midsection, there are some amazing progressions and sounds that are absolutely well done and are wonderful to hear. A trip through the harder sounds and styles that EDM has to offer, this does sound superbly fantastic. A very enjoyable and powerful listen, this proves that one doesn’t need guitars to make an interesting and powerful tune to listen to. Sensationally good to hear, this does sound really powerful. In the second half are some wicked sounds that sound really interesting and warped. Music to headbang along to, this tune ends after just over five minutes in length and the outro is lengthy but sweet. Great music.

Mind Control – Original Version is by Insidiouz. It is yet another longish tune for Hardstyle at over five minutes in length. Still, it sounds really great from the beginning, with a variety of percussion-based sounds and banging beats that are incredibly catchy. A wonderful and sweet listening experience, the music present is really cool and surprising throughout. This is extremely percussive, heavy and catchy, and demands dancing or banging one’s head along to it. A great tune nonetheless, one of the better pieces on this compilation. There are some absolutely mindblowing percussion sounds and a ton of interesting textures moving all over the place. Dramatic progressions are throughout the track here as well. Towards the middle of this track is a moody progression that is very unusual musically, which speeds up gradually and that sounds really quite good. Nonetheless, a very top listen throughout. This tune really gets banging with tons of simultaneous percussion sounds that are really cool. An interesting and cool listening experience, unlike any other. This sounds superb and has some looped laughter in the background and 8-bit styled sounds in the second half of this tune. A pounding and warped-sounding massive banger of a tune, this music is perfect for those who love heavily percussive EDM. It falls apart towards the end, before wrapping up. Excellent.

Rave Or Die – Audionator Raw Mix is an Audionator tune that is interesting from the beginning. It has some warped and Psychedelic sounds, along with some super cool heavy percussion to listen to. A breakdown occurs fairly early on, which has some warped and interesting vocals about picking up some communication from alien life forms. This is sensationally good, and again, this is fantastic headbanging music to listen to. Quite simply, to listen to it, it works fantastically. There is a breakdown with pseudo-theremin science fiction sounds and deep, distorted vocals that sound awesome. This is one of the better pieces from this rather lengthy compilation. Mind you, this music is really fantastic, despite its overall length, for what it is. The second half of this tune sounds fantastic. Great cyberpunk-styled music for fans of futuristic concepts such as video games, this is an amazing winner of a listen. Some interesting progressions musically are here, and the whole tune sounds really different. A really awesome and different listening experience, this sure sounds warped and wonderful. Towards the end, this becomes increasingly minimal and simple, before it finishes up nicely. A good piece of music.

Step Right Up – Original Version is a tune by Noharu with The Hardsoldierz. It begins with some trippy and different sounds, launching into another straightforward Hardstyle listening experience. This quickly launches into a weird musical patch, and some absolutely banging beats to enjoy. Nonetheless, again, this sounds really brilliant and uplifting for what it is. The music present is loud, exciting and powerful, and it does sound like Hardstyle glory. Towards the midsection are some very Michael Jackson-sounding vocals, which don’t really suit this sort of music. A lack of originality is present here. Some styles of music sound great with this sort of vocal appearance, but this does not. In the midsection are some interesting melodic progressions, but this is not what we need to hear from this compilation. This eventually launches into an upbeat and banging Hardstyle tune in the second half, just sounding good yet different. The vocals do ruin this tune, however. Nonetheless, this sounds different and good, despite the bad mixture of vocals. Towards the end are lone handclaps and percussive-based sounds and beats. It’s okay, but you could likely skip this tune. It does end well, however.

Release The Rage – Original Version is by Joey Riot with Prox. It is a shorter piece with some weird digital sounds to begin with and has some drum machine rolls placed alongside this banger of a tune. A really awesome and different listen, this launches into a dramatic and weird sample of a lady under the influence who is violent. A weird and odd listening experience, this is a sore reminder of the dark side of nightclubbing. This launches into an interesting progressive tune, with piano. This isn’t the most original or creative sort of music, but it is highly enjoyable nonetheless. A very intense and pounding tune to listen to, with cyber melodies and piano to mix. There have been better Hardstyle tunes out there in the history of music. This isn’t that great, to be honest. It’s listenable but regardless, this has little long-term value as a tune. An okay listening experience, but isn’t a pleasant or valuable tune. A banger though, and certainly is danceable.

To The Max – Blutonium Boy Event Mix is a six-minute-long PsytrexDJ piece, which is rather lengthy for this style of music. It quickly launches into an interesting tune with some futuristic and interesting science fiction sounds, perfect for going crazy with your BFFs to. Once the super-heavy beats enter, you will be obliged to dance around to this tune. A really powerful and unique piece of music that sounds unlike much else in the history of music, this is like sculling three Red Bulls in five minutes, it is super powerful. Regardless of whether you are familiar with Hardstyle or not, this is a real headbanging music-listening experience. There is a breakdown towards the middle of this track, which is powerful and euphoric. The music gradually builds up nicely in a good progression, but this is too minor key melodically and lengthy to be seriously good listening. In any case, this section is okay, just not the absolute best of Hardstyle out there. A really different listening experience, this music does not sadly have a long shelf life. Still, it does sound very interesting throughout. This then enters into a major pounding piece towards the end of this track, and it does sound like different listening. Nonetheless, this is okay, but certainly not the best music ever. Towards the end, this gradually wraps up and finishes with some interesting percussion and sonic sounds.

Spooky Melo – Blutonium Boy Melo Mix is a Blutonium Boy original. It begins with a bunch of futuristic cyber sounds and launches into a punchy and extraordinarily cool listening experience. This gradually continues and progresses along very nicely. A really top-notch and weirdly cool listen, this eventually launches into an absolute banger of a piece that sounds like the audio equivalent of a punch in the face. It is also extremely catchy as well. A very lively and wonderful tune to listen to. Acid House sounds emerge, and this tune continues to reveal itself nicely. This is more imaginative than you’d think, and it sounds quirky, clever and cool. The progressions on this tune are also excellent, and this tune is a top-notch winner. The only real flaw of these tunes is that, given their length of minimalistic music, these easily could have been cut down length wise. Nonetheless, this is a very interesting and powerful listening experience. The sounds throughout are very unique, although again, this is a bit long in terms of track length. All the same, this musical kicks the proverbial. Towards the end are some very sweet patches and beats to maintain one’s interest throughout. Very, very cool to listen to. A really great and interesting piece of music. It ends after six minutes in length. Fairly lengthy.

Alright – Blutonium Boy Club Mix is another tune by PsytrexDJ. It is very long at nearly seven minutes in length. It launches very quickly into a tune with some vocals that sounds odd and unusual. This is an epic piece of music that is very unusual to listen to. This one also seems rather lacking musically, not just in terms of its overall length. In any case, the music on this piece sounds fairly uninspired and forgettable compared to the other tunes. Soon enough, a breakdown occurs and female vocals enter. This soon launches into a really ordinary piece of music that really shouldn’t exist on this album. The predictable progressions and sounds throughout ruin an otherwise perfectly good track. Nothing special nor inspired here, please just skip this track. The music and vocals are really lacking. If you can skip this tune, go ahead, you are not missing out on much here. This is definitely the low point of this album, it is just a lame and pathetic excuse for a tune. The beats do not make up for the poor-quality tune otherwise. In simple terms, this is a letdown. If you are still with us here, you will be hoping that this nonsense finishes. It eventually does just before seven minutes is up. A very disappointing effort, this could have been much better done. It winds down at the end before concluding.

Another Level – Audionator Dub Mix is by Forcefield and is a remix of the earlier track on this album. It sounds much better from the beginning, with some interesting percussive sounds and textures to match it. This quickly leads into a breakdown with some more Daft Punk sounds to match. This is good but not great to listen to, it just sounds fairly processed. Still, if you are high on Ecstasy or uppers of any sort, this music will make a great deal of sense to you. This eventually enters into a good breakdown with attitude, but hearing the same tune twice on a compilation isn’t a great marketing move. The midsection is pretty cool, but this tune isn’t a necessary addition by this point. The lack of originality and effort makes this tune noticeably tiresome. Which is sad, really. Fortunately, this is a bit shorter length-wise. It is still a drag anyway, given its length Probably not 100% necessary to hear at this point, but it’s okay anyway. The outro is also lengthy but gradually becomes more minimal as it progresses onwards. A bit of a bore.

Live Your Life – Dub Mix is by Audionator is a remix and is the last track on this album. It sounds good from the beginning, although the music has been very much done here already. This quickly launches into a banger of a remix that sounds really cool and excellent throughout and is energetic and powerful. This tune is a real killer of a piece, and the melodies and music are powerful. Regardless, this tune is interesting. The melodic section towards the middle of the track is pretty and unique for what it is. The sounds and textures throughout are super cool and interesting. A good way to finish off an okay compilation, with suspense and energy. All in all, this sounds really listenable and interesting. Again, this is rather lengthy and drags on a bit for a tune. The music present is very exciting and different to listen to, and this is a supercharged and energetic tune. It’s not the best example of EDM beat-banging tunes out there, but it still sounds warped and amazingly futuristic. Towards the end, there is a neat build-up of sounds and textures, before this gradually concludes well. A fine listen, and one of the better pieces of music to conclude this compilation album with.

This is fairly straightforward Hardstyle, handpicked by Blutonium Boy. This is one of his better and more historical releases as a DJ for the Hardstyle movement. The music fundamentally is very good. However, the length and lack of imaginative sounds at times mean that this isn’t the greatest collector’s piece that one would hope for. Should you listen to this album? If you really dig Hardstyle or energetic workout music, this is for you. However, Hardstyle is still very much a niche genre. This is good but imperfect for what it is. Still, it is a good listen from time to time, when the mood strikes.

Headbanger’s music.
